The lavatory automatic commercial motion faucet (also known as hands-free touch less sensor faucet) is a faucet equipped with a proximity sensor and mechanism that opens its valve to allow water to flow in response to the presence of a hand or hands in close proximity. The faucet is created by combining four key components; the solenoid valve, the sensor & control electronics, power source, and the faucet itself. Although there maybe some variations to this theme, however these are they key tools each has a distinct function that, once all combined will constitute an automatic faucet.

Solenoid of infrared touchless faucet is entrusted with the task of physically starting and shutting water flow. The sensor and control electronics parts combined have the role to sense the presence of an object in front of the faucet and order the solenoid valve to initiate the flow of water. Then, when the object is no longer present, the sensor and control electronics order the solenoid valve to terminate the flow of water, but only after the predetermined time set by factory (or adjusted by the plumber) have passed, which is always measured by seconds.
Wall Mount public restrooms commercial motion sensor faucets are designed to operate for a pre-set amount of time when a user’s hands are in the sensor active area, this will trigger the sensor and allow water flow. A sensor-operated faucet uses approximately one gallon less water than a manual faucet. Hence motion faucets are not only hygienic, but water can be saved when sensor faucets automatically switch off as soon as users remove their hands from the wash area, as opposed to metered and other types of manual faucets that can be left running for extended cycles…sometimes even after users leave the restroom.
