All LED shower heads be it the 3 colors LED shower light (green, blue and red)  or the multicolor RGB colors all have built in small chip dynamo that light up showerhead once water flow through. However some (or all) LED lights may stop working if the micro chip gets clogged due to residues build up which may be a result of many factors that prevents the water from generating the LED.

First to understand the main principle behind what light up shower head. All LED shower head relies on water flow to power LED lights. The water flow drives a turbine or generator that in turn produces electricity to supply to the LED lights on the shower head.  LED shower lights are generated from small microchip (size of fingertip) called the turbine which is installed inside the shower head. Such chip will instantly light up shower head once water flows through such turbine.

In some cases, those LED lights may stop working mainly due to lime building up inside the shower head thus preventing this microchip turbine form producing energy to light up the LED lights.

Because the shower head is clogged with such mineral/sediment deposits thus hampering the flow of water to generate electricity, you will need to clean your shower head by immersing it in vinegar and water solution for at least few hours.

This should be adequate to rinse such mineral deposits and get your shower head LED lights running again.

It’s also possible that your LED lights are broken then you might need to get the lights replaced. That could be another reason why Led Shower Head Lights Stopped Working for you.
